U of T Engineering News published a profile of Chatforce co-founder and COO Maeesha Biswas on October 6, 2026: “How BMO National Scholar Maeesha Biswas turned a U of T capstone project into an AI startup with global ambitions”, by Anjali Baichwal.

The profile follows Biswas from BMO National Scholar in 2017 to Industrial Engineering at U of T (IndE 2T2 + PEY, graduating in 2023), and describes how a capstone project brought the Chatforce co-founders together. It notes that Chatforce is a founding industry partner of U of T Engineering’s Engineering Partnerships Office and raised a $2.1 million pre-seed round.

Biswas is quoted in the article: “I met my co-founders at U of T.” She also said: “We’re going after a $250-billion opportunity by bringing game creation to everybody,” and “The way we see it, game creation is having its YouTube moment right now.”

The story also appears on the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering site and the Defy Gravity campaign site.
