Ask for levels in chat
Describe the next level in a sentence: “Add level 3 with moving platforms over spikes and a checkpoint halfway.” Chatforce builds it and updates the game at the same link.
To add levels and progression to a game, plan a difficulty curve, give each level one new idea, place checkpoints before hard parts, and reward the player for finishing. With AI you describe each level in plain words and let it build them, then tune them yourself. On Chatforce you ask for new levels in chat, lay them out in the Level Editor and tune the numbers in the Variables tab.
The six steps below are plain level design and work for any game. After them is how to do each one on Chatforce.
Start easy and get harder in steps, with a short breather after each hard part. Write one line per level: what it asks of the player and how hard it is.
Introduce one new thing per level, like moving platforms or a new enemy. Show it first in a safe spot, then in a harder one, then mix it with what came before.
Put a checkpoint before each hard section so a mistake costs seconds, not the whole level.
Give the player something for finishing a level: a new ability, a new area, a better score or a cosmetic. Rewards make the next level worth playing.
Decide how the player moves forward: levels that unlock in order, a world map, or upgrades that carry over. Keep it simple at first.
Play from the first level to the last in one sitting, on a phone and a computer. Note where you got bored or stuck, and change those levels first.
| Level | New idea | Difficulty | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Running and jumping | Easy | Level 2 unlocks |
| 2 | Moving platforms | Easy to medium | A first collectible |
| 3 | A new enemy | Medium | A new ability, like a double jump |
| 4 | Platforms and enemies together | Medium to hard | A new area |
| 5 | A boss or final challenge | Hard | An ending screen and a best score |

Start with three to five short levels. Play them, fix what isn’t fun, then add more. A few good levels beat many rushed ones.
It is how hard the game gets over time. A good curve starts easy, gets harder in steps, and gives the player short breaks after hard parts.
